Join Patricia Q. Wall, author newly published book, Of Life & The American Revolution, The Journals of Joseph Knap of Stratford, Connecticut 1761-1808. Mrs. Wall will discuss the peculiar nature of Joseph Knap’s journals and the challenges in forming the narrative that reveals this remarkable man. Through his story we glean fascinating views of Stratford’s mid-18th century coastal life and insights into Connecticut’s struggling and sometimes politically estranged Fairfield County during eight years of wartime suffering and turmoil.
